Covid-19 adaptation for commercial waste services
LWARB are running a COVID-19 adaptation project for commercial waste services, split into two phases.
Our phase one report from July 2020 addresses the immediate impact COVID-19 had on commercial waste services. It consists of a considerations document which looks at potential changes to day-to-day services and operations. It focuses on interim measures as the economy restarts and businesses re-open following the lockdown introduced in March 2020.
In October 2020 we published our phase two report which aims to help London local authorities understand the longer-term impact of COVID-19 on commercial waste tonnages and composition. It will also be of interest to regional and central government and the wider waste sector to support the development of economic recovery strategies.
