Recycle for London is delivering its first ever ‘re-use and repair quarter’ from late September through to the end of November this year. The campaign is directly funding a range of activities:
- Electrical repair workshops – ‘Restart parties’ – at which residents will be helped to make their small electrical items last longer by making minor repairs or looking for information and support online;
- Community jumble sales – in collaboration with Jumble Trail – across a number of London boroughs; and
- Love Your Clothes textiles workshops – working with a number of craft shops and teachers across the capital to deliver more than 20 sewing, repair, upcycling and re-styling workshops to help residents get longer life out of their wardrobes.
The events are being booked in and finalised over the coming month and Recycle for London will be promoting them through social media, PR and their website once dates and venues have been fixed.
